You can feel it, the chaos, the chaos approaching. And none of this "good", "cool" chaos, I am talking about political/social chaos. I am talking about the destabilization of the Soviet Union, you have that one guy, what is his name, Vladimier or something? It just sounds fascist. Here he is over there battering women and then saying basically, "Some women are so ugly that they want to be raped", how much political clout does he have now? Just because he is a mean, nasty person? Who is control over there, anyway, the Russian government? I don't think so. Now an intricate network of organized crime, the KGB, and the rich upper-class has control of that country. And they are selling their nuclear technology into the Middle East.
Chaos!
Wars. Lots of smaller wars among insignificant nations. But, being fueled by weapons produced in the larger, stable countries, and controlled by the transnationals. Of course, if a war is actually threatening the powers in control, then they send their hyper-advanced, invisible weapons over there to win a war, for whichever side the power needs to win it.
Worldwide chaos, except in 3-4 precariously stable regions, like the US, Europe, Japan, Australia. Inside some of these regions will be scattered dots of social chaos, like South Central Los Angeles, or the slums around Washington DC.
Weapons manufactures will supply these wars also.
"...with large lower-class working near the poverty level, a sizable "Technician class" that get to live decently in the declining suburbs, a healthy professional class, and a small ruling class."
If you do not fit into any of these classes, they have a special place for you. It is called prison. Or sometimes asylum.
"...It is where life is but a dream. A constant stimulation of the senses. Television is everywhere. Stupid things consume all thought. A celebrity class evolves, clearly defining the true American dream: To get rich quick and party a lot with cocaine."
"There is plenty of food but the quality is extremely poor. Vegetables lack taste. Artificial color added, pesticides."
The outcome of technology has been the corporation, the entity that has legal control over all technology.
The corporations got too powerful. They could not be stopped. The corporate agenda was more important than the human agenda. Corporations grew in power while the human race continued to decline in a sea of social problems.
But, how could you stop them? The corporations controlled the media, that was so pervasive that it brainwashed people from they day they were born, drawing them into a specific reality, and locking them there.
